State CX

Today was the State Cyclocross Championships at Lake Casitas.
All the 35+ riders raced at the same time today so the field was pretty big.

A beautiful venue and a great day to race for sure.

I lined up behind the guy I thought would win the race. Well he did! Unfortunately I didn't see much of him once the start whistle blew.

It seems these days I'm getting slower not faster! Anyway, a good first lap and half led to an in-explainable slowing to the point of waiting for a friend mid race. Once one of my Tuesday morning buddies caught up I helped drag him around for the last 3 laps.
I think we caught some guys in his race so at least I was able to help someone out.

I have no idea where I justed and would rather not find out!

Next stop is Glendale and then final Urban Cross race in PV followed by a party trip up to Nationals in Bend.

See ya,

Bruce
