Just wanted to put out a quick summary of our terrific weekend in the Buellton/Solvang region -- many thanks to Kurt Stockton for heading down and directing the training for the weekend and organizing the U25s accordingly.
The rainy weather was only a factor on Friday, where our ride was cut a wee bit short secondary to chilly conditions.
Saturday led to some seriously beautiful riding, the only thing slowing us down was a few flat tires!
Sunday's ride, a slight bit shorter, was nonetheless spectacular, with views of Mt. Figueroa (apparently a lot of snow on top, so no summit this time!).
As for recreational activities, there was much entertainment provided musically by our own Christine Barron (talented sprinter and pianist, who knew?!), hilarious Password sessions, and some tremendous food (thanks to Will Ostrander for organizing the food purchasing and Lawrence Novitch and Barry for helping with the cooking! Julia's chili was awesome as well!)
So, I just want to thank everyone who attended the camp in helping to make it a valuable experience for everyone. For those of you who missed out, bummed you couldn't make it -- tremendous team building experience on and off the bike!
