March 6/7 Racing Update

Sat, Mar 6 - Downtown GP
32miles Women Pro 1/2/3 Race
40miles Men Pro 1/2 Race
1.3km course, a well-designed mix of technical challenges

Lauren Liscinski came in 17th in a large, strong field including the HTC-Columbia and Peanut Butter & Co Twenty12 teams. Lauren was the sole NOW-MS Society woman rider and held her own well in a tough field with a lot of strong pros.

In the Men's race, Kit Karzen placed 27th, Sergio Hernandez 28th in a field of well over 100 riders. Sergio brought back a break of about 8 riders, Danny Heeley and Kit rode strong at the front of the pack. Stephen Leece and Danny got caught in a crash, but were okay and got back in the race, finished with the pack.

120miles Men Pro 1/2 Race
72miles Women Pro 1/2/3 Race
24-mile loop with rolling hills

Kit and Danny came in top 20 today. They spent time patrolling the front of the pack. Kit was in a break earlier in the race.

In the women's race, Lauren, again the solo NOW-MS Society rider, was in a break the last lap. She placed 37th.

IN OTHER RACING NEWS
Congratulations to Ivie Crawford who raced CBR Dom Hills today, the combined Cat 4 and 1/2/3 women's race. She placed 8th overall and 2nd among the Cat 4. And now she has enough points to upgrade to Cat 3!

The Masters Men came out to CBR Dom Hills in big numbers today. Nice job representing in several crits this morning and afternoon.
